(More customer reviews)I bought this and while the game itself is a blast, here's the realization I made after reading an online PSA that did the research I should have done myself:

Unfortunately, overexcited at the prospect of buying the game for $[...] less than I thought I would have to, the $[...] set with special Beatles instruments being the only available edition previously, I purchased this edition.
So, don't make the same mistake that I did. Definitely get this wonderful game if you're considering it, as just about any review can tell you. But buy the Rock Band 2 set and the software alone, and you'll have better instruments and an extra game for the exact same price.
What a fool I was!

(More customer reviews)The light sabers are terrible. They interfer with the signal to the sensor, which makes game playing impossible. Also, the handle doesn't fit into the controller. It seems to slide in, but it doesn't stay attached. It appears to have a good connection, but the notches just don't work.

LEGO Spider-Man 2: Spider-Man's Train Rescue Review

(More customer reviews)My five-year-old son put this together, with me just looking over his shoulder and pointing out details in the instructions when he missed something. It's a delight in every way. It has a launcher that works elegantly with just rubberbands. There's lots of opportunity for imaginative play. It was a marvelous learning experience and achievement for him. The instructions were crystal clear and every piece was accounted for. It looks totally 'cool' , but not cheap or flashy, and it's plenty sturdy,I can't say enough to adequately praise this item!

Star Wars: Flight of the Falcon Review

(More customer reviews)While it looks good on the outside, I do suggest not judging this book by its cover :). I rented this game (thankfully) and have to say that it's the first time I've seen a game push a piece of hardware too far.
The GB Advance is not a 3D machine, although the developers of 'Flight of the Falcon' tried their best to recreate the 3D rich Gamecube Star Wars games. The result? A game so difficult not due to its design, but by the limitation of the hardware!
A perfect example is the second level, where the player is racing through the Mos Eisley spaceport in Luke's desert speeder. The objective is to beat the clock while dodging buildings and other obstacles. The developers ignored the hardware limitations and created a level that's nearly impossible to traverse because the system can't render a sharp image until it's nearly on top of the player. It became so frustrating that I had to put it down and return it to the video store (thankfully I rented this one).
A better alternative would be the Wing Commander Prophecy game. It's not perfect but does a great job of implementing a 3D space shooter on the GBA platform.

Lego Indiana Jones Peril in Peru 7628 Review

(More customer reviews)Hello. First off, if you buy this directly in a Toys R Us store it is only 50% of the cost here on Amazon. I'm not sure why, but there you go.
The set is sweet, no question. Obviously the focal point is going to be that airplane. I don't know any other lego set that offers an airplane with as much charm as this one. It really captures the look of a 50's era utility plane. The airplane is smaller than the larger planes coming out in the airport and cargo sets, so just room for a single pilot in the front and then a couple figs in the middle. There is also room in the back for a crate. The airplane has a door for access to the cargo hold, but doesn't have one for the figs, but the top of the airplane removes easily.
In addition to the airplane you get a nice jeep which and a cool tractor. The tractor comes with a trailer for cargo and a stairway for access to the airplane. The set also includes an assortment of figs (the standard ones for the Indiana Jones sets).
In the end, I think the set is a little pricey but a better deal than some of the other Lego Indiana Jones sets. As this is an exclusive and limited, I think the airplane will be highly popular later.

LEGO Star Wars Echo Base (7749) Review

(More customer reviews)Very cute, new Star Wars Lego set. Easy to put together for your 6 year old with a nice amount of mini-figures.
PRO's-5 nice and very cool mini-figures (2 Hoth Troopers, 2 Snowtroopers, Hoth Han Solo) plus a great looking Taun Taun figure (so I guess you could say 6 figures). Cool looking Snowtrooper weapon and a rotating gun turret with a hidden door and top hatch to hold a figure. Also neat is behind the 'snow' wall the two Hoth Troopers stand on a tilting platform. When you push down on the center section you can snap the figures into the air simulating an expolsion.
CON's- The turret at times comes off too easily from the base but it's still very playable.
I recommend it for younger Star Wars Lego fans and for fans looking for some neat figures.
